Details
The Gussy Experience is 2 hours. We'll meet at Betty (a boutique in Plaza Midwood) and spend the first hour sipping on refreshments, enjoying snacks, and - most importantly - dressing up! A variety of vintage, eccentric, and colorful women's clothes are available for you to wear. Once everyone has on an outfit they love, we'll spend the second hour taking pictures! Your host will give you a walking tour featuring nearby street art and the history of the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. During the tour we'll take LOTS of individual and group pictures and videos with the art as a backdrop. After the experience you will return the clothes and have access to all of the pictures and videos taken - and you are welcome to use them however you like!
Pricing
The price listed on our "book online" section of the website is per participant for regular public sessions. Private sessions have different pricing depending on what you have in mind - get in touch to discuss.
Participants
We recommend a minimum of 2 participants when booking - but more people is more fun! Each session posted on the website is open to 6 participants - if your group is smaller than 6 you may be joined by others that you don't know - but your pictures will only be with your group. If your group is larger than 6 please get in touch to book a private session. If you are solo - that's totally fine! We just ask that you join a session with others, and if you happen to book when no one else does, we will work with you to reschedule for another time.
Sizing
The majority of the clothes in the Gussy closet are women's clothes from XXS to XXL. We do have some items outside of this range. Worried we don't have clothing that fits your group? Shoot us an email with your measurements and we will either confirm we've got you covered - or potentially source more outfits to accommodate you.
Gender
Gussy is welcome to anyone interested in wearing what society traditionally labels as "women's" clothing.
Age
Gussy is a great experience for anyone 18+! We will consider participants under the age of 18 if an adult accompanies them. We love hosting parent/child, sibling groups and teen birthday parties - the options are endless. Each situation is unique so please reach out to discuss.
Gift Cards
Gift cards can be purchased on our website at https://www.gussycharlotte.com/gift-card. Please keep in mind that gift cards expire after one year from purchase date, and they cannot be refunded.
Cancellations
Life happens - to you and to us.
IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A BOOKING: We can offer a full refund up until 48 hours before your scheduled session. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before your scheduled session, we will consider giving you a code to redeem for a future session depending on the circumstances.

IF WE NEED TO CANCEL A BOOKING: It is rare that we need to cancel but in the event we do, we will work with you to reschedule, or provide a full refund if rescheduling is not possible. We will also provide some "extras" to apologize for the inconvenience.

WEATHER: We will not cancel for weather (too hot, too cold, rainy, etc) unless there are severe weather warnings issued in the area. In the event a session is cancelled for severe weather, the opportunity to reschedule will be provided.
